Umeå Institute of Design degree show 2011

The annual graduation exhibit for the Umeå Institute of Design began last week. With just nine automotive students amongst those receiving honors, the concise yet elaborate degree show was unequivocally Scandinavian. Marking the show's opening, the two-day event featured a presentation by Richard Seymour (of Seymour Powell), student presentations, copious amounts of local cuisine, and a break-dancing interlude.

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 runs from 17th -27th September to the public Many of the Japanese makers will be conspicuous by their absence, but that should be more than made up for by the launches from the big European makers. And of course the Koreans – in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – will do what they’re starting to do in the market place and fill the gap left by the Japanese. Kia Naimo concept (2011) first official pictures

Kia has provided us with a first view of their new Naimo supermini electric crossover concept car, ahead of its official debut at the 2011 Seoul motor show, which opens to the public on 1 April 2011.  Kia Naimo?
